Breakdown of British Education

based on your child's age

Ready to discuss your child's future?

AGE 4-6

Pre-Prep Admissions

Pre-prep schools, or often also referred to as nurseries or kindergarten, are generally associated with a larger prep school. They usually have relatively small class sizes, allowing for personal care and attention from the teachers, and prepare the children to the busier environment that can be expected from a prep school in later years.

HOW TO PREPARE

Following an Open Day or privately arranged visit with your child at your desired pre-prep school, you will have the chance to register and spend a Taster session at the school for an informal assessment through fun and interactive sessions to enable the school to observe social and learning skills of your child. The outcome of such assessment would normally be sent to the parents within 2-3 weeks.

Prep Admissions

A prep school can be a true stepping stone in your child's education to help them get a place at one of the best private schools in the UK. In addition to that, prep schools form a formidable social and academic environment for your child. Smaller classroom sizes, personal teaching approach, rigorous academic program are all excellent reasons for parents to choose to place their children in a distinguished prep school.

HOW TO PREPARE

Following an Open Day or privately arranged visit with your child, you will be invited to attend a Taster session at the school for your child to get to know the school by taking part in a mixture of academic lessons and co-curricular activities.  University Entrance

The process of gaining entry to a UK university will differ for those who study in the UK and those whose education has been undertaken abroad. For top-tier selective universities, it is highly desirable that the student is studying for A-Level or IB certificate.

HOW TO PREPARE

We strongly encourage families to seek support with university applications at least 1-2 years before entry to facilitate better chances for success. This will give us enough time to learn about the student's background and aspirations, ensure they're academically ready based on the university's entry criteria and are prepared for the Entrance Examinations and interviews.
